Rico Abreu dominated much of the feature to score his first career win in the 63rd running of the prestigious Gold Cup Race of Champions. The victory marked Abreu’s fifth career World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series triumph aboard the Abreu Vineyards No. 24 EAGLE. Rico quick timed both nights before claiming his second win of the season to go along with his victory at the Ironman 55 in Pevely during the month of August. “This is pretty awesome and a special feeling to win the Gold Cup,” Abreu commented with a big smile after the race. “Hats off to my guys for all their hard work and for giving me a great car tonight.”

Chris Graf earned his second feature in a row at Princeton Speedway this one being the 5th annual Davey Tabor Memorial. Chris also became the Midwest Power Equipment Series Champion within the UMSS driving his EAGLE.

In the third try this season, the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) were hosted by Can-Am Motorsports Park. Quebec’s Steve Poirier was glad the third time was the charm as he picked up ESS career win #62. The victory all but clinched his 7th ESS championship and was the ninth time he visited victory lane for this season in his EAGLE.

Rod Henning lit up Charleston Speedway in the familiar Dorsett #10H HENCHCRAFT with the Central Illinois Mini Sprints.

Jason Billups has much to be proud of this season. After acquiring a new HENCHCRAFT last winter, this talented fella has won six times at I-35 Speedway and the most recent was his fourth in a row.

Winning with the new STALLARD SST has become common place for both Frank Galusha and Chase Brewer. Frank’s most recent victory came at the Newton Kart Klub and was his twelfth win of the season.

Chase Brewer made it five in a row for the Danny Cuddeford STALLARD SST. This win coming at 85 Speedway in Ennis, TX.
