LAFARGEVILLE, NY - The 2025 edition of Showdown in September had a little bit of everything on Friday night. Between Mother Nature paying a visit on multiple occasions during the evening and some great racing action, fans certainly were entertained.

LAFARGEVILLE, NY - Track championships will be decided in four divisions Friday night at the Can Am Speedway in Lafargeville New York. SeverIt’s a weekend we have all anticipated, which also means the 51st season at Can Am Speedway is drawing to a close. The Showdown in September kicks off two days of action packed racing, with some major events set to take to the speedway.

It's RACE DAY at Can-Am Speedway!

We look forward to seeing YOU tonight, Friday, August 30th for an action packed night at the races! Tonight is our Night of Champions, featuring all of our regular weekly classes! It is going to be a very special night as we continue to celebrate our 50th year of racing this season. Tonight is also First Responder Night!

On the card: Whitesboro Plow shop DIRTcar 358 Modified, Bob Johnson Auto Group DIRTcar Sportsman, Panther Frameworx 602 Crate Sprint Cars, Sundance Leisure ThunderCar, and our up and coming drivers in the Donath Motor Worx Limited Sportsman division. PLUS an intermission parade by our local first responders.

Be there to see who parks it this week in the Bob Johnson Victory Lane AND who will be your Golden Jubilee 2024 Track Champions!

WHAT TIME DO GATES OPEN?

  • Pit gates open at 4pm
  • General Admission gates open at 5pm.

WHAT IS THE COST?
GENERAL ADMISSION (SPECTATOR) PRICING:

  • First Responders (with ID): Free
  • Adult (18+): $15
  • Student (5-17): $5
  • Under 5: Free
    GA Gate Reminder: NO COOLERS (including food or beverage).

PIT ADMISSION PRICING:

  • DIRTcar Members: US: $35 | CAN: $40
  • Non Members: $40 | CAN: $45
    Please Note: Pit Admission windows are now located in the main building on your right when you pull in. There are four lines for fast entry (Media/Passes, Drivers, Members, Non- Members).

WHAT TIME DOES RACING START?

  • Hot laps will begin at 6:20pm with the first green flag of the evening flying at 7pm.
