R.D. Hutchinson Memorial, Friday September 6th

"Richard Hutchinson was no stranger to Can-Am speedway. For decades, Richard was instrumental in a lot of the behind the scenes infrastructure at the facility. Whether it was general contracting, working on generators, heavy equipment or lighting his knowledge and expertise will never go unnoticed. A close personal friend to the Bartlett family for almost 30 years, known as “Diesel Dick” his presence will be forever missed. Throughout the past seven years of my ownership of the racetrack Dick was always there for quick advice, vast knowledge, and a friendly joke. The phrase “let me call Dick” happened often when a challenge arose and a quick solution was needed. I am humbled to honor his legacy at the speedway with a tribute race honoring a great man." - Tyler Bartlett
